Fifth local network meeting in Austria

On Monday, December 3rd 2018, the network ‘to shed light on hate crime’ met for the fifth and last network time for the year 2018, organised in the framework of V-START – Victim Support Through Awareness-Raising and neTworking. After four meetings, the fifth meeting was meant to discuss the phenomenon of hate crime from different perspectives, to talk and to discuss how the network will continue, to enhance and ensure the visibility of the phenomenon. During the meeting, the network decided to further expand the network launched this year and continuously pursue the goal of consolidating a cross-sectoral lobby for hate crime victims.

The focus of the next meeting was on a review and overview of the activities for visualizing the phenomenon and the enlargement and joint preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding.The draft of this document was discussed on-site and subsequently signed by 11 organisations.
